VIVA is a centralized repository for veterinarians' and veterinary technicians’ credentials and a source of verified data for Member Boards. The VIVA database includes national veterinary and veterinary technician examination scores as well as licensure information. VIVA offers two separate services for veterinarians: Score Transfers and Credentials Services. For frequently asked questions, please visit the VIVA FAQ page: https://aavsb.org/VIVA/faq.
Veterinary Continuing Education Tracking - No Cost to Veterinary Professionals
AAVSB's newest service to the veterinary community is the Veterinary Continuing Education Tracking system or VCET for short. VCET allows you to log and track all of your continuing education in one location and provides a direct link to RACE-approved programs. When needed by your jurisdiction, the VCET log can be printed on an AAVSB form and mailed to your licensing agency or, if that agency allows, emailed directly to them. And there is no cost to the veterinary professional.
The VCET log page is part of your MyAAVSB portal.
If you do not currently have a MyAAVSB account, please complete one of the following VCET applications. There is no cost so you will NOT be asked for any payment:
Veterinarian VCET application
Veterinary Technician VCET application
Veterinarian Score Transfers
AAVSB sends an official score report to the jurisdiction requested, in the form they require. The score report includes NBE, CCT and/or NAVLE scores. All examination scores are included on the report. The application can be completed online or downloaded to print and mail/fax to AAVSB.
PAVE Candidates: Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to request to have a PAVE certificate sent to a state licensing board.

VIVA Credentials Service
AAVSB will collect license verifications and veterinary school transcripts (or PAVE certificate or ECFVG certificate) required by Member Boards for veterinary licensure, and transfer it to the veterinary licensing board you request. Compiling a complete credentials packet normally takes 5 to 7 weeks and includes an official national licensing exam score report. Applicants interested in the Credentials Service must first Register for Credentials. Once an applicant is registered, they can apply for additional Credential services by completing a Credentials Update service.
To register for Credentials, please complete steps 1-4 below.
Complete the online Credentials Registration Application ($150)
Print, complete, sign and mail the Affidavit for Release of Information to AAVSB (see address below)
Mail an original or certified copy of your birth certificate or a notarized copy of your passport to AAVSB
If your name is different from your passport or birth certificate, mail a notarized copy of your marriage license or a notarized copy of your divorce decree or a notarized copy of your name-change document to AAVSB
AAVSB must receive all your documents before service is initialized. The credentials service takes approximately 5-7 weeks after receipt of all required documents. Credentials requests CANNOT be expedited. Please mail your documents to:
