AAVSB Executive Director to Take Medical Leave of Absence

Kansas City, MO (October 7, 2014) - The American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB) announced today that Executive Director Robyn Kendrick will take a medical leave of absence from her responsibilities as Executive Director. Pursuant to an established plan for such situations, Daphne Tabbytite, Assistant Director, and Vic Cook, Director of Program Operations & Strategic Initiatives, will serve as acting Co-Executive Directors for the organization during Ms. Kendrick's absence.

AAVSB Board of Directors President Dr. John Lawrence said, "The Board has a great deal of confidence in the entire team at the AAVSB. We are confident that our organization will continue to provide great service to our members and customers."

The use of a medical leave of absence is consistent with Association policy to ensure business continuity. The policy is reviewed regularly by the AAVSB Board of Directors.
