SPA - State & Provincial Assessments Now Available

The AAVSB now offers a new service to its Member Boards: the administration of state and provincial jurisprudence examinations.


Many veterinary licensing boards require licensure applicants to pass a jurisprudence exam to evaluate the applicant's knowledge of local statutes, rules, and regulations. These exams can be online or on paper. They can be proctored or non-proctored. Member Boards can now be relieved of the administrative burden of these assessments by letting the AAVSB handle the process. If the Member Board chooses to utilize the online option, the licensure applicant no longer has to travel long distances to take the exam and the Member Board no longer has to schedule the applicant.

Important Information:

  • Eligible candidates are approved by the AAVSB and state or province.

  • Eligible candidates receive an email from TesTrac, ttonline@testrac.com, with Logon ID and Password information to access the TesTrac link on the AAVSB webpage.

  • Eligible candidates Sign in and purchase the state or provincial specific exam.

  • Exam fees are paid via credit card. The following credit cards are accepted: American Express, Discover, MasterCard or VISA.

  • All exams can be taken only once per purchase.

  • All exams have a valid testing period.

  • All exams are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • At the end of the exam, candidates will be able to print an onscreen pass or fail result with percentage score for your personal records.

  • The AAVSB will provide the official score reports to the state or province.
