Elected Leadership - Nominations Now Open


Need an opportunity to expand your leadership skills? Interested in elevating your knowledge about veterinary regulation to support your board? Nominations are open now through May 30, 2019 for the following positions:

President-Elect (3 year term; 5 hours a week)

Three-years serving as President-Elect, President and Immediate Past President; approximately 18 days of travel (travel expenses paid by the AAVSB)

Treasurer (2-year term; 3 hours a week)

Two-year term; approximately 16 days of travel (travel expenses paid by the AAVSB

Director (3 positions open) (2-year term; 2 hours a week)

Two-year term; approximately 14 days of travel (travel expenses paid by the AAVSB)

Nominating Committee Member (one 1-year term position and one 2-year term position open) (12 hours a year)

4 days of travel to attend the AAVSB Annual Meeting (travel expenses paid by the AAVSB)

AAVSB Representative to the ICVA (3-year term for 1 Licensed Veterinarian)

Three-year term; travel to two ICVA Board meetings and the AAVSB Annual Meeting; travel expenses paid by the ICVA

The AAVSB Call for Nominations for 2019 is available and provides detailed information on the open positions and criteria for each.

All nominations require a nomination form (can be completed online), a short bio (as described in the Call for Nominations), and a letter of support from a Member Board.

Voting on the slate of candidates will take place during the 2019 AAVSB Annual Meeting & Conference being held in St. Louis, Missouri on September 26-28, 2019.
