AAVSB Delegate Assembly Elects 2019-2020 Board of Directors

St. Louis, Missouri (September 28, 2019) - The American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB) is pleased to announce its new President and members of the 2019-2020 Board of Directors. Elections were held at the 2019 AAVSB Annual Meeting & Conference in St. Louis, Missouri, on September 28, 2019. At this meeting, Roger Redman, DVM, moved into the President position. He will serve in this role for a one-year term.

Dr. Redman has served on the AAVSB Board of Directors since 2013, most recently as President-Elect. He has also served the AAVSB as Director, as a member of the Finance Committee and the Bylaws & Resolution Committee. He is a former member and President and Vice-President of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Licensing Board.

Chris Runde, DVM, was elected to the President-Elect position. He will serve a one-year term. Dr. Runde has served on the AAVSB Board of Directors since 2014, including the last two years as Treasurer. While Treasurer, he was the Chair of the Finance Committee. Prior to his service on the Board of Directors, he has served as a member and Chair of the Bylaws & Resolution Committee. He was Chairman of the Maryland State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners from 2004-2014.

Kim Gemeinhardt, DVM, was elected to the position of Treasurer, moving from her position as Director. Her term as Treasurer will be two years.

Amy Haywood, LVT, and Mark Logan, VMD, were both elected to the position of Director. They are both new to the Board of Directors and will serve two-year terms.

Timothy Kolb, DVM, was reelected to the position of Director and will serve a two-year term.

The Board of Directors thanked Mark Olson, DVM, Past President, for his seven years on the Board of Directors and Leslie Knachel, MPH, for her four years serving as a Director. Both Dr. Olson and Ms. Knachel will continue assisting the Association by serving on different committees.
