The AAVSB Introduces Octavia Jones as Senior Manager of Continuing Education

Kansas City, MO (January 7, 2022) – The American Association of Veterinary State Boards welcomes Octavia Jones as the AAVSB's Senior Manager of Continuing Education.

Ms. Jones is a results-driven leader with significant experience in internal and external relations and is committed to quality service for all partners. She is accustomed to project coordination and managing systems and procedures. Being competent with technology and excellent collaboration skills makes Ms. Jones an exceptional addition to the AAVSB.

In her new position, Ms. Jones will manage the AAVSB’s Registry of Approved Continuing Education (RACE) program, the RACEtrack® service, and relationships with continuing education providers and stakeholders. The RACE program develops and applies uniform standards for veterinary medicine continuing education. The search for RACE programs and Providers is connected to the CE Broker platform to provide the most up-to-date information. Ms. Jones is ready to take on these programs and offerings and ensure they remain relevant to ever-changing needs.

Ms. Jones joins the AAVSB with decades of previous association experience, as well as a diverse educational background with a Master of Arts in Education/Adult Education and Training, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.
