The American Association of Veterinary State Boards is a not-for-profit membership organization comprised of 62 Member Boards dedicated to the proper and efficient regulation of veterinary medicine in the interest of public protection. The AAVSB is in search of a Full-Time Program Associate (Veterinary Care Elite). This administrative position is primarily responsible for the customer service, day-to-day receipt, review and processing applications for the Veterinary Care Elite participants and various VAULT transfer requests, updating our comprehensive VIVA database records. Work includes extensive contact with veterinarians and veterinary technicians participating in the Veterinary Care Elite program and utilizing VAULT services, Member Boards, and other related agencies to ensure accurate and timely exchange of examination, licensure, and disciplinary information from AAVSB’s VIVA database. This program associate Serves as a member of the VAULT team.
Day-to-day activities include: Corresponding, processing, and managing the membership applications, as well as ownership the Veterinary Care Elite program’s routine duties, and serving in a supportive role for the VAULT transfer requests.
Innovative activities include: Active collaboration in the ongoing development and expansion of the Veterinary Care Elite program with various AAVSB departments, including but not limited to the Marketing and Communications and Technology and Development departments.
WITHIN 1 MONTH, YOU WILL:
Understand the mission and values of the AAVSB.
Understand the goals, benefits, and role of Veterinary Care Elite within the VAULT department and the AAVSB organization.
Establish a positive working relationship with the VAULT team and an introductory relationship with all AAVSB staff and management.
WITHIN 3 MONTHS, YOU WILL:
Understand and communicate the AAVSB’s role in veterinary medicine.
Be able to accurately process Veterinary Care Elite and VAULT Basic applications.
Demonstrate ownership of the Veterinary Care Elite program’s routine duties.
WITHIN 6 MONTHS, YOU WILL:
Demonstrate comprehension and the ability to process the lifecycle of the Veterinary Care Elite membership.
Efficiently process Veterinary Care Elite and VAULT Basic queues.
Actively collaborate in the ongoing development of the Veterinary Care Elite program.
WITHIN 12 MONTHS, YOU WILL:
Effectively communicate all aspects of the Veterinary Care Elite program to all stakeholders.
Demonstrate efficient processing of Veterinary Care Elite and VAULT Basic queues and provide support in other departments with similar queues when needed.
Provide impactful insight into Veterinary Care Elite member and program needs.
Skills:

Education and Experience:
Required: Associate Degree and one year of professional experience including customer service and database management experience.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years demonstrable customer service, database and membership experience.
Must be committed to ongoing professional development. Occasional travel and weekend work might be necessary to fulfill the position’s responsibilities.
Details:
Salary: $38,000 - $42,000The AAVSB is headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri.
This position may be virtual/remote with the understanding that there will be required company-paid travel to Kansas City, Missouri, and other locations throughout the year.
