The AAVSB is in search of a Full-Time Program Associate (Exams). This administrative position is primarily responsible for customer service, application processing and eligibility review for the examinations of the AAVSB international educational assessment programs, and examination eligibility review for NAVLE candidates. This position also includes extensive contact with the Member Boards, veterinary schools and veterinary technician/nursing programs, allied organizations, and exam vendors in providing program services support.

 

Responsibilities

    • As a member of the Exams team, receive, review and process the various examination application requests.

    • Maintain a high standard of excellence in customer service to the AAVSB’s clients which include exam candidates, veterinary technicians/technologists, veterinarians, Member Boards, and veterinary schools and veterinary technician/nursing programs.

    • Receive and promptly answer incoming emails and telephone calls regarding program(s).

    • Team up with the Program Manager (Exams) for examinations and the Senior Director of Program Services to brainstorm about the examination services.

    • Assist program(s) to include application processing, detailed data entry, filing, and electronic and paper file maintenance.

    • Perform general office duties for program(s) such as copying, faxing, scanning, and sorting.

    • Produce routine correspondence and assist with the creation or editing of bulk communications.

    • Assist with reconciling the multiple Exam vendor account invoices.

    • Coordinate workflow with program staff.

    • Support staff and management in assigned project-based work.

    • Provide input to the Senior Director of Marketing & Technology on suggested computer system and website enhancements.

Qualifications

Knowledge of:

    • AAVSB programs and services.
    • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite Applications and working with databases.
    • The principles and practices of customer services.

Skills:

    • Exercise keen attention to detail to verify data point matches and manually process queued applications and database records.

    • Maintain high level of attention to detail while performing highly repetitive tasks.

    • Excellent customer service, organizational, written and oral communications skills.

    • Ability to work effectively and efficiently, both independently and as a team member, from a remote location or office setting.

    • Be comfortable with learning and using digital tools to successfully fulfill duties, communicate, and collaborate with others with a commitment to advancing DEI in the workplace.

    • Flexibility and adaptability for a position where the surrounding activities and environment can change frequently.

    • Ability to collaborate with colleagues, including giving and receiving constructive feedback

    • Maintain a calm and positive attitude.

Education and Experience:

    • Required: Associate degree and three years of relevant office and customer service experience.

    • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of three years’ relevant experience in an education setting or nonprofit association.

    • Must be committed to ongoing professional development. 

    • Occasional travel and weekend work might be necessary to fulfill responsibilities of the position.



Details:

Salary: $38,000 - $42,000

The AAVSB is headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. This position may be virtual/remote with the understanding that there will be required company-paid travel to Kansas City, Missouri throughout the year.
