The AAVSB is in search of a Full-Time Program Associate (Program Services and Member Services). This administrative position is primarily responsible for customer service in program services applications and database processing for Program Services and Member Services.
This position may include contact with the Member Boards, veterinary schools and veterinary technician/nursing programs, allied organizations, and exam vendors in providing program services support.
As a member of the AAVSB team, receive, review and process the various program services application requests and database records.
Maintain a high standard of excellence in customer service to the AAVSB’s clients which include veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and Member Boards as well as other stakeholders.
As a member of the AAVSB team, receive and promptly answer incoming emails and telephone calls regarding program(s).
Collaborate with the Senior Director of Program Services and AAVSB Managers to brainstorm about program services and member services.
Assist program(s) to include application processing, detailed data entry, filing, and electronic and paper file maintenance.
Perform general office duties for program(s) such as copying, faxing, scanning, and sorting.
Coordinate workflow with program staff.
Support staff and management in assigned project-based work.
Provide input to the Senior Director of Marketing & Technology on suggested computer system and website enhancements.
AAVSB programs and services.
Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite Applications and working with databases.
The principles and practices of customer services.
Exercise keen attention to detail to verify data point matches and manually process queued applications and database records.
Maintain high level of attention to detail while performing highly repetitive tasks.
Excellent customer service, organizational, written and oral communications skills.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently, both independently and as a team member, from remote a location or office setting.
Be comfortable with learning and using digital tools to successfully fulfill duties, communicate, and collaborate with others with a commitment to advancing DEI in the workplace.

Education and Experience:
Required: Associate degree and three years of relevant office and customer service experience.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of three years’ relevant experience in an education setting or nonprofit association.
Must be committed to ongoing professional development.
Occasional travel and weekend work might be necessary to fulfill responsibilities of the position.
Salary: $38,000 - $42,000
The AAVSB is headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. This position may be virtual/remote with the understanding that there will be required company-paid travel to Kansas City, Missouri throughout the year.
