Most states and provinces require a passing score on the VTNE in order for a veterinary technician to be credentialed
The AAVSB reviews exam eligibility for California NAVLE® candidates
The AAVSB is thrilled to continue the AAVSB Veterinary Technician National Examination® Celebrating Diversity Award. The next award recipient will be announced this Spring 2022 and will receive a VTNE exam voucher for their VTNE online application.
AAVSB President Dr. Chris Runde said, "The AAVSB is honored to have the opportunity to celebrate the diversity of the profession of Veterinary Technicians by bestowing this award. This also represents the commitment of our Member Boards to supporting these dedicated Technicians and the hard work they do every day."
This award will be given to a veterinary technician/nursing student from an AVMA-CVTEA or CVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing program who is expected to graduate no later than June of the calendar year. This award will be presented to a minority student who has been traditionally underrepresented in the veterinary technician profession, inclusive of Black/African American, American Indians and Alaska Natives, Indigenous peoples, Asians and Pacific Islanders, Hispanic/Latinx, LGBTQ, and students with disabilities.
The award recipient will be selected based on their commitment to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and treating everyone with respect and dignity.
