Quebec Joins the AAVSB as the 63rd Member Board

Overland Park, KS (August 1, 2023) – The American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB) is pleased to announce that the AAVSB Board of Directors has approved the Quebec Veterinary Medical Association’s application to join the AAVSB as its 63rd Member Board.

Incorporated under Ordre des médecins vétérinaires du Québec (The Order of Veterinary Physicians of Quebec), the OMVQ holds to protect the public by regulating the practice of veterinary medicine and by contributing to the improvement of the health and welfare of animals and the maintenance of public health.

The AAVSB CEO, James T. Penrod, said, "We're thrilled to add Quebec to our long list of member licensing boards. The AAVSB's comprehensive suite of programs and services will no doubt lessen the administrative burden on the OMVQ and will benefit the province's licensees for the life of their license."
